Danill Medvedev has qualified for the final of the Open 13 Provence
Daniil Medvedev has qualified for the final of the 2021 final of the Open 13 Provence. He beat Matthew Ebden of Australia, who was forced to retire after a set and a half.
In the first set, the Aussie out of qualies, had some break opportunities but was not able to convert. Down 5-4, due to a groind issue, Ebden had the physio come out on court. He had his thigh taped, but wasn't able to do much from that point on. Medvedev served out the set at luv and 3 games later the Australian was forced to retire.
Medvedev is in the final of the Open 13 Provence for the first time. Up to now he had not made it past the quarters. He will wait to know whom of Ugo Humbert or Pierre-Hugues Herbert he wil facee off for the title.
