Felix-Auger-Aliassime has joined Stefanos Tsitsipas in the 2020 final of the Open 13 Provence after beating Gilles Simon 7/5 7/6 in 1h59.
Once again Felix Auger-Aliassime was in a tough place and once again he managed to come out on top. The Canadian 3/5 versus Simon in the first set but managed to turn the match around by winning four consecutive games.
In the second set, Gilles Simon, two time winner in Marseille, held his own and was able to force a tie breaker. Hwoever the Canadian was too strong in this decisif game. Up 6-2 in the breaker, Auger-Aliassime only needed one match point to make it to his second consecutive final in two weeks.
This will be FAA's 5th career final.
