ROGER-VASSELIN IN LAST EIGHT

After beating Jarkko Nieminen in the 1st round, Edouard Roger-Vasselin, 95th in the world, pursued his winning streak by destroying Italian Flavio Cippola (87th) 6-3 6-0. With this win, ERV, secures a quarterfinal spot, for the third time of his career. He will face, for a semifinal berth, the winner of the match opposing Jo-Wilfried Tsonga to Nicolas Mahut. Regardless, of the result, the tournament is guaranteed a French presence in the semis.
