LJUBICIC, FIRST IN SECOND ROUND

Ivan Ljubicic is the first player to qualify for the second round of the 2012 Open 13. The Croatian, runner-up in 2005 versus "Pim Pim" Joansson, did not exactly have a walk in the parc to defeat the likes of Florent Serra, tournament wild card. "Ljubi" came to grips with his opponent after 2h09 and a final score of 6-4, 6-7, 6-3. The 32 year old will wait to know whom of Paul-Henri Mathieu (FRA) or Karol Beck (SVK) he will face off with in the second round.
